PARIS COUTURE WEEK:
ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER
Fall 2015
Alexandre Vauthier is back on the runway with his distinctive glam rock touch.
A trip to California was all he needed to find the inspiration for his fall couture collection, where all the details seemed to be connected by an explicit Native American leitmotiv, like the extra-long leather fringes and rows of tubes snaked through body-con black or white dresses.
As part of Couture week, Vauthier didn’t fail to showcase luxury at its finest: from the coyote coat fiercely worn by Cindy Bruna, to the slick opium red python dress brought to life by Lindsey Wixon, and let’s not forget about Daria Strokous’s micro wrap dress, embellished to mimic crocodile (a work of art that required 1,600 hours of handwork!)
Among all the black and white designs, personally we loved the injection of fuchsia on a couple of asymmetric skirts, and the amazing varsity jacket embroidered by Maison Lesage.
A collection worth of a rockstar: we love it!
