Giambattista Valli: Fall 2015 Couture

PARIS COUTURE WEEK:
GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
Fall 2015

Romantic, modern, edgy, artistic: we ran out of adjectives to describe our love for Giambattista Valli’s aesthetic.

For his ninth couture collection, the Italian designer looked up to style icons like Talitha Getty and Peggy Guggenheim as an inspiration.
On the runway the key word was “flower”: sculpted silhouettes for the opening looks that gradually blossomed into the show-stopping ball gowns at the end of the show; in between Valli's signature expressed through laser-cut outs, drapery and bow accents.
Accessories played a major role in highlighting Valli’s calling for modernity, like the crystal-adorned round sunglasses or the glamorous footwear.
Russian top model Sasha Pivovarova had the honor to tell us this enchanting couture journey, by opening and closing the show.
