Lo so, lo so, avevate imparato a dire Adriana – Alessandra – Candice – Lily – Behati – Doutzen – Lindsey – Karlie senza alcuna difficoltà, ma ora è il momento di ricominciare da capo.

L’abbandono dell’olandese Doutzen Kroes, dell’americana Lindsey Ellingson e della top model, anche lei americana, Karlie Kloss, ha lasciato a Victoria’s Secret l’onere di trovare tre degne sostituite, capaci di sopportare il peso di ali così importanti.
Una sfida non indifferente.

Di sicuro non servono grandi doti matematiche: perché se 8 angeli – 3 angeli fa 5, allora 5 + 3 fa 8... Ma non per Victoria's Secret! A loro non piace sommare, preferiscono moltiplicare. Così gli angeli sono stati triplicati: da cinque si passa a QUINDICI!
E qui sollevo la prima critica, perché con questa mossa il titolo di "angelo" perde inevitabilmente privilegio ed esclusività.

Hanno fatto molto per Victoria's Secret negli ultimi anni e finalmente sono state ripagate. Elsa e Sara hanno cominciato da PINK (la linea destinate alle più giovani) e poi sono passate alla linea principale, più adulta e sexy, dimostrandosi perfette per entrambe le categorie.

Elsa ha grande personalità e stile, oltre ad un fisico secondo solo a quello di Candice e ad un viso molto particolare. I suoi followers sui Instagram sono più del doppio della maggioranza di quelli degli altri nuovi angeli: solo Sara la supera.
Elsa has great a personality and style, beside an amazing body that is second only to Candice's, and a stricking face. Her Instagram followers are more than double than those of the majority of the other new angels: only Sara has more.

Tra i nuovi angeli, Sara è la più seguita su Instagram e su Twitter. Se vogliamo trovarle un piccolo "difetto", è la più bassa tra le modelle, ma questo lascia intuire che per essere diventata angelo, Sara deve avere qualcosa di speciale. E infatti poco importa dell'altezza quando hai il fisico da bikini perfetto (non a caso Sara è anche una delle modelle di Swim Illustrated) e il tuo viso ricorda a tratti quello di Adriana Lima.

Per Martha e Stella (sotto) vale lo stesso discorso: non capiamo perché Victoria's Secret si ostini a promuoverle. Oltre ad essere quasi identiche, non hanno nulla di memorabile, e questo non è un vantaggio per una testimonial di un brand.

Jasmine ha lavorato molto per Victoria's Secret e merita l'upgrade, ma, detto fuori dai denti, non sembra all'altezza del titolo.

Probabilmente Monika è vista come la sostituta di Karlie Kloss, viste le forme asciuttissime, ma, proprio come Karlie, è più adatta all'alta moda che non ad un brand commerciali come Victoria's Secret. Però Monika ha un viso stupendo ed è ancora giovanissima: aspettiamo.
Monika is maybe seen as Karlie Kloss's replacement, considering her thin figure, but just as Karlie, she is more suitable for high fashion jobs than commercial ones like Victoria's Secret. However, Monika has a beautiful face and she is still very young: let's wait and see.

ROMEE STRIJD
Per un'olandese che se ne va, un'altra che arriva. Però Doutzen lasciava il segno ed era di un'altra categoria. Forse Victoria's Secret semplicemente sentiva il bisogno di aggiungere una manciata di modelle bionde con gli occhi azzurri dopo l'addio di Doutzen e Lindsey? Con Romee sono sei su quindici. Sicuramente Romee è più promettente di Martha e Stella, ma come queste, almeno per ora, non colpisce.
As a Dutch leaves, another comes. However Doutzen was a show-stopper and belonged to a different level . Maybe Victoria's Secret simply needed to add a bunch of blue-eyed blonds, since Doutzen and Lindsey have left... With Romee, they are six of fifteen. Romee is definetly more promising than Martha and Stella, but as these two, she’s not memorable yet.
Sarebbe bello vedere un po' più di diversità tra le ambasciatrici: magari una modella dai tratti orientali o una dalla carnagione scura.
It might be good to see more diversity among the ambassadors: maybe a girl with oriental features or a black model.
