Ci siamo, Coachella 2015 sta per iniziare.

Cosa è Coachella? Coachella un festival musicale che si tiene ogni anno nella Coachella Valley, un'area desertica nel Sud della California. Ma non lasciatevi ingannare da questa definizione, perchè la musica a Coachella è come i musei ad Amsterdam: nessuno va ad Amsterdam per i musei, cosi come a buona parte dei partecipanti di Coachella interessa poco o niente della musica.
Coachella è uno degli eventi di moda più attesi dell'anno, e quindi modelle, celebrities, fashion blogger, etc., che vogliono essere al centro della scena, devono partecipare ed indossare i migliori outfit con cui essere fotografati (e fotografarsi). Se sei (o se vorresti) essere rilevante nella moda, devi essere al Coachella. Anche i marchi di moda non possono lasciarsi scappare l'occasione e carcano di essere in prima linea al Coachella, organizzando eventi o contests sui social, per premiare che indosserà i loro capi durante il festival.

What is Coachella? It's a music festival, which takes places every year in the Coachella Valley, a desertic area in the South of California. But don't get fooled by this definition, because music at Coachella is like museums in Amsterdam: no one goes to Amsterdam to see museums, just like not many people care about music at Coachella.
Coachella is one of the biggest fashion events of the year, and models, celebrities, fashion bloggers, etc., have to be there and wear their best outfts to be photographed in them. Coachella is the place to be and to show off. If you miss it, you miss out. Even fashion brands can't miss this chance to be under the spotlight and they want to be on the front line at Coachella. They do this by organizing events and contests on social media for people who are wearing their clothing at the festival.

Which are the must have brands? It dipends on you favourite style, but surely The Ragged Priest, Rat & Boa, Wildfox, One Teaspoon, For Love And Lemons and Free People. Where to buy festival clothing? Ci sono poche regole da tenere in mente quando ci si prepara per un festival:
There are just a few rules to keep in mind when dressing up for a festival:- I look ordinari non sono ammessi. Indossate molti accessori (cappelli, fasce per i capelli, collane, braccialetti...) per dare più stile al vostro look e per renderlo piu interessante. Aggiungere un po' di colore è una buona cosa.
- No plain looks are allowed. Wear a lot of accessories (hats, headbands, necklaces, bracelets...) to make your look more interesting and stylish. It's also a good thing to add some color.

- Non copiare il look di altre persone. Non sono i festival la migliore occasione per mostrare il vostro stile personale? Potete accentuare ed esagerare qualsise cosa amiate, senza alcuna (o quasi) restrizione. Quindi siate voi stessi e non copiate nessun altro... Specialmente se siete fashion blogger, che dovrebbero mostrare nuovi look, piuttosto che copiarli; cosa ne pensi, Chiara Ferragni?
- Do not copy other people's looks. Isn't a festival the best occasion to be free to show your own personal style? You can accentuate and exaggerate everything you love with (almost) no restrictions. So be yourself and don't copy anyone else... Especially if you are a fashion blogger, who is meant to show new styles rather than copying them; don't you agree, Chiara Ferragni?

- L'eleganza è fuori luogo e i tacchi non sono consigliati. Se vi vestite eleganti ad un festival, vi sentirete come un pesce fuor d'acqua. Comunque ci sono molto eventi, party e after party durante il festival di Coachella, spesso organizzati dalle diverse case di moda. Queste potrebbe essere delle occasioni migliori per indossare dei look un po' più sofisticati. Adesso parliamo dei tacchi: tacchi eleganti e tacchi da sera, sono un NO gigante. Stivaletti a tacco basso e zeppe, invece, si addicono ai festival, ma ricordate sempre di vestirvi comodamente.
- Elegance is out of place and heels are not raccomended. If you dress elegant at a festival, you'll feel like a fish out of water. Anyways, there are a lot of events, parties and after parties during Coachella, often hosted by fashion brands. Those can be a better occasions to wear something more sophisticated. Let's talk about heels now: elegant heels and evening heels are a huge NO. Low heel boots and wedges, however, do fit the festival style, but always remember to dress confortable.

- Gli accessori sono fondamentali, ma non rendetevi ridicoli. Le piume ci stanno, ma non c'è bisogno di usarle per copre metà del vostro corpo! Un altro esempio? Il septum (vero o falso) è diventato molto di tendenza negli ultimi due anni ed è un ottimo accessorio per i festival, ma attenzione a non esasperare i trend, specialmente se non si addicono alla vostra personalità! Sembreranno forzati e non sembrerete molto credibili... Piuttosto sembrerete ridicoli. Sto parando con te, Kendall Jenner.
- Accessories are foundamental, but don't make yourself look rediculous. Feathers are fine but you don't need to cover half of your body with them! An other example? Nose rings have been very popular in the last couple of years and they are good accessories for festivals, but do not exasperate trends, especially if a trend doesn't suit your personality! It will look forced and you won't be belivable... You'll just look rediculous, I'm talking to you, Kendall Jenner.
