Let's close the week with style, time for #TEB's "Best Of The Week: top models edition"
I would love to thank Joan Smalls to prove us that you don't need complicated outfits to stand out in the crowd!
The Puerto Rican top model borrowed some inspiration from the sportswear department to get ready for the Bottega Veneta show, at Milan Fashion Week: a sporty grey Puma sweatshirt paired with a simple black leather skirt.
The cherry on top? A Chanel shoulder bag and suede black ankle boots.

New York Fashion Week has just started and we already have a stand out show experience: Riccardo Tisci brought Givenchy S/S 2016 Ready-to-wear collection to the American fashion capital, staging an artistical show aimed to celebrate his 10th year at the house.
The event took place at Pier 26 on the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorists attacks, so the designer made sure to build a contemplative yet religious atmosphere, mainly thanks to modern artist Marina Abramović’s contribution: she conceived a living art installation, building the runway set in a multilevel space made of recycled materials, in order to reduce waste, and having performance artists keeping the large audience entertained before the runway show.
To complete the reverential atmosphere, powerful live music from six different religions played in the background, as the models walked down the runway.

As previously mentioned, Tisci conceived the collection as auto referential, therefore he displayed a best of his signature collections at Givenchy: men’s and women’s ready-to-wear looks found their place on the catwalk, as well as some impressive couture pieces.
Models presented austere make-up looks, and occasionally face jewelly or real couture masks as an extension of the clothes design.
Most of the female designs seemed to portray the sensual comfort of lingerie, as testified by the large use of transparent lace and smooth silks: believe us, you will desire a pair of silk pants after seeing the collection.

Well, what else could the title of the new V Magazine's Issue have been, if not 'The Best Of The Best'?
Nine of the most well-known top models posed for Sebastian Faena in the bed of a sunlit hotel room. The atmosphere is very intimate, as if the models had just woken up, wearing white mesh and lace lingerie, enhanced by precious diamonds.

Here we go again: Olivier Rousteing's latest decisions have been determined, one more time, by his desire of popularity, rather than by an easthetic sense.
There is a lot to say about him, from the repetitiveness of his latest collections, to his exasperated attention-seeking, to his obsession with the Kardashians/Jenners. I'm suspecting that all these things are connected. Anyway, the first photos from Balmain's Fall 2015 advertising campaign came out yesterday, so let's focus only on them.
The theme is 'sisters', starring Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Erika and Joan Smalls. Maybe I'm evil, but the first thing I thought was: hasn't this theme been made on purpose, to have an excuse to use Kylie Jenner, and generally speaking, to use someone very popular, even though their modelling skills are close to zero? Shouldn't a designer decide the theme of the campaign first, and then choose the models that fit the role better?
