Time to kiss goodbye to the 69th Cannes Film Festival: all the most famous international stars and top models tried their best to make an impression on the glamorous French red carpet, but who won our hearts?

MsD is ready to show us which top models ruled the festival: are you ready?

Jourdan Dunn in Ralph & Russo
This Ralph & Russo gown wasn't among our favourite from the Spring 2016 collection, but as soon as we saw it on Jourdan, we changed our mind!
The embellished train is a masterpiece.

Toni Garrn in Ulyana Sergeenko
This dress reminded us of the Ulyana Sergeenko dress that Adriana Lima wore last year in Cannes. The black velvet bustier is actually very similar, but for us Toni wins hands down.

Natasha Poly in Prada
Last year Natasha was our choice as "queen of Cannes" and this year she didn't fail to live up to our expectations.

Izabel Goulart in Ralph & Russo
Unlike Jourdan's, this dress was already one of our favourite since its presentation on the runway. Seeing it on Iza made us fall in love with it even more!

Chanel Iman in Kaufman Franco
We normally find cut-outs and deep splits gross, but this Kaufman Franco dress is a different story: modern, edgy and perfectly styled.
We are amazed.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Alexandre Vauthier
Stella and I had different opinions on Alexandre Vauthier's latest collection: she loved it, while I had many doubts.
However after seeing Rosie rocking this red piece I was sold!

Barbara Palvin in Philosophy
Barbara was glowing this year in Cannes!
This blush pink outfit is one of our favourite looks from her ever.
The dress and the styling are youthful and fresh, but still elegant.

Lily Donaldson in Miu Miu
We had already told you about Lily's edgy outfit during Cannes Opening Cerimony: check it out HERE!

Bienvenue à Cannes!

Yesterday evening (May 11th) all eyes were turned to Cannes for the opening ceremony of the 69th Cannes Film Festival: finally that time of the year, when the most famous international stars gathers together on the French Riviera to celebrate the film industry... As well as fashion, of course!

The luxurious red carpet was inaugurated by the screening of Woody Allen’s Café Society (trailer at the end of the article).

Let's discover who won the sartorial battle...

Queen of Cannes

Araya A. Hargate in Ralph & Russo Couture

This look embodies what Cannes Film Festival's glamour stands for.
It's dramatic, well exectuted and drop-dead gorgeous.
What else?

Bombshell glory

Blake Lively in Atelier Versace

...and she is pregnant too: no one can beat Blake Lively's maternity style.

This dazzling Versace's number is a perfect combination of Cannes's glamour and Donatella Versace's fierce signature. Hair and make up? Courtesy of L'Oreal Paris.
Just Wow.

Best Classic

Naomi Watts in Armani Privé Spring 2016 Couture collection

Finally a Naomi Watts' look that I could love: this liliac column dress from Armani Spring 2016 Couture collection looks lovely on the American actress.

Best Model

Lily Donaldson in Miu Miu

Flawless. That vampy styling is what seals the deal: a fashionista-worty look worn by a beautiful model. Congratulations Lily, you made our MsD smile!

Animal couture

Julianne Moore in Givenchy Couture

I mean, whou wouldn't love two giant cobras on their breats?

Has Jeremy Scoot already took over Givenchy? Because this look like something he could come up with...

Chanel mess

Kristen Stewart in Chanel Resort 2017 collection

This a fresh off the runway look for the joung American star, courtesy of Mr Lagerfeld, who presented the Resort collection in Cuba days ago.
However, this is a completely missed opportunity...
And we will tell you the reasons: the styling and that hair.

The platinum hair trend has spread: first Taylor Swift, now Kristen Stewart.
This might be a coincidence, maybe she is working on a new role that requires bad dyed blond hair (I seriously hope so). Even if we forget the color, that messy haistyle just doesn't match the edgy and sexy nature of the outfit.
Besides, is this what Chanel's glamour has become?

Apocalypse

Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham

Rumor has it that her fashion company is sinking: well, looking at her being let down by her own design, make me think that it might be true.

Those trousers....

Woody Allen’s Café Society movie trailer

We have collected all the models' Red Carpet looks in the previous post and now we have selected the best outfits that they have worn at the several events, which were hold during the Festival. These events are as prestigious as the Festival itself, like the Chopard party, the De Grisogono party and the amfAR gala.

One of the world’s most successful benefit events and the most coveted ticket in town during the Cannes International Film Festival took place yesterday evening (21st of May) at the Hotel du Cap, in Cap D'Antibes.
We are obviously talking about the 22nd annual Cinema Against AIDS gala.
Before having a look at what models wore for this spectacular and star-studded night, we shouldn't forget the importance of the event, which, to date, has raised more than $140 million for amfAR’s life-saving research programs and has helped keep the fight against AIDS in the global media spotlight.

Our dreams might still be hunted by Beyoncè's MET Gala naked dress, but the fashion world is asking us to move on: pack your belongings, we fly to Cannes!
